Classification: Query
Surnames: Pennock
Is anyone actively seeking Nth.Yorks. Pennocks . from approx. 1750 -1850 .
It would appear that these Pennocks originated from 'nowhere' and I find it hard to believe that of all the Pennocks who read this board none are decended from one of the oldest Yorkshire Pennock Pennock families.
The Pennocks in question are from Pickering, Marton, Sinnington, Amotherby all within a radius of 20 miles.
There seems to be a general apathy amongst experienced researchers on this board, which does nothing to encourage people who are just starting. There also seems to be a lack of response to queries and requests and sometimes an air of 'cant be bothered' is evident. Can I askyou all, as a researcher for many years, to offer as much help and encouragement to novice researchers who sometimes only need a push in the right direction.
