I am searching for the parents and grandparents of Winfield Scott Penrod, b. 1857 and d. 1906 in Logan County, KY. My late husband is the grandson of Winfield Scott Allison and his second wife, Myrtie Earl Blain. They had three daughters: Sibyl Eliza [Allison], Rebecca Estella [Allison] and Hattie Opal Welborn Beymer. Winfield Scott Penrod was first married to Eliza Blain [half sister of Myrtie] and they had 2 sons, Robbert and Kay. I have a theory that his parents were David Allen and Melissa Gibbs Penrod, and grandparents Solomon and Martha Johnson Penrod, but I have no way to prove it. Does anyone know of this line of Penrods? It has been a difficult search!
