Flo:

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you wanting information on how to start your own search for a different relation. If so and you are looking for military records know first what war, what unit and years then contact the nara. One was is to use their e-mail orders@nara.gov and request order forms or you can do in line at http://www.nara.gov

For genealogy information your best bet is to order a full pension. A military record has little in the way of family history. Rootsweb has a wonderful civil war page that will be helpful.

If you are asking for a copy of Mark Sumner's pension I would be happy to slow mail you a copy, IF YOU ARE RELATED. Because of the size, if you aren't related I would hate to spend all the time coping and mailing it. VERY THICK.
I hope this has helped. If you have any other questions please e-mail me at: artbyfran@Juno.com

Flo:

My daughter is a slow typer and her provider will disconnect her because she is too long in typing her message. One way we got around this was to open two windows and in the course of typing she would stop and just go to her second window and look up any thing. Just something to keep the provider active.

So if you have an e-mail usually someone will e-mail you an address. Open your net browser (this will be one window) go back to your e-mail and click on the web address. (this is your second window) If you want I'll e-mail you some sites that you can just click on. Another way is to open your browser. Go to the message bar on the bottom and go back to your browser and re-open this will be a second window.

Are your relations from Virigina and KY.? I can send you some nice sites for those states.
