I'm researching Vashti Woodcock PERHAM.
Per the 1881 British census she was born in Winsham, Somerset in 1859. She was married to William King BROWN. I have a marriage date for them of 16 September 1880 in Chard, but no verification of this, yet. The date comes from Vashti's obituary. In 1881 she & William lived in Winsham with their infant son, William. The elder William was a shepherd.
They left England for the United States in 1883 and settled in Illinois, in the Kendall county area. I cannot located them anywhere in 1900. In 1910 they were in Kendall county and in 1920 in La Salle County.
Vashti's obit gives her date of birth as 13 October 1859 and her date of death as 19 October 1937 in Millington, Kendall county, Illinois. She is buried at Millington-Newark Cemetery in Kendall county. William BROWN died in 1941.
Vashti's middle name of Woodcock comes from the birth record of her youngest child, Gladys, in the Kendall county, Illnois birth register.
I'm looking for any information about Vashti's parents and siblings. I'm happy to share the information I have about her descendants.
