My father was Francis Newlove Perreira. He had several brothers one of which was Uncle Sonny. I met him as a young girl. Dads mother was Mary Louise Cockett and Antone Perreira. The names I remember are: brothers: Ludy Perreira, Bully Perreira, Anthony Perreira,sisters: Mary Perreira, and the youngest was Beatrice Perreira. I'm sorry to say that they have all passed away. I am searching for information about cousins, etc of Christine Perreira. Her father was Joao Rodrigues Perreira born in 1870 in Faja Grande Portugal who arrived in Hawaii as a stow a way on the City of Paris steamship in 1884. Her mother was Maria De Jesus Perreira who was born in the Azores in 1875 and arrived in Hawaii in 1884 as a 9 year old with her parents (Jose and Maria Perreira). The Perreira's were married at St Peter's in Maui but the family lived and worked on the big island of Hawaii. Christine later moved to Honolulu where she met US Navy man B F Myers and eventually came to the states. I know some of her siblings were: Caroline Perry, Tony, Fred, Virgie, George, Flora, Emily, Mary, and Maggie. There were other siblings as well. Thanks.

HELEN D. PERREIRA August 23, 1917 - June 30, 2006 Helen proudly served in the Women's Auxiliary Core during WWII and was stationed in Big Spring, Texas. She also held a post in the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion. She loved to bowl, play Bingo, visit Las Vegas, and have coffee with friends. She was married to Manuel "Lucky" Perreira for over 50 years, until his death seven years ago. She passed away peacefully in her home in Burbank, California, with her best friend Toni Neves at her side. She is survived by her sister, Rita Beauparlant; nieces, Collette La Mont, Teresa Campa and Jan Gatch; nephew, Jeff Morris; and two great nephews, Gregg and Kurt Strakaluse. "Helen, you were a loving wife, sister, aunt and Good Friend. You will be missed by all who love you." Services will be held at Pierce Brothers, Valhalla, 10621 Victory Blvd., North Hollywood, on Thursday, July 6, 2006, 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of: PIERCE BROTHERS VALHALLA N. Yes, my uncles and aunt would come up from California, My Father John W Perry was born in Hawaii in 1898. My father was a Hawaiian Musician. I had an Uncle Bill Uncle Pete and Auntie Bea. I have a scrap book of my fathers performances. His Group went under many names: Jonny and the Pinapples, The Musical Perrys, The KLX Hawaiians and the Mouana Hawaiians.

My family is from Oahu, Hawaii. My mom's name was Sophie Perreira, her married name was Sophie Alves. I have uncles on the island: Manuel Fivela, Joe Perreira, Tony Perreira lives up here in Fremont, California. I was born in Oahu, in 1951. Hi I am looking for information on my dad's family. I was brought up by not knowing much about my dad's family. My dads name is Manuel "Sonny" Perreira from Kihei, Maui. He also lived in Wailuku, Maui. His wifes name is Bernice "Jackie" Perreira. He had a son named Alan Perreira and daughter named Jacqueline " Nalani " Perreira.
