Looking for information on Bertha Rose Perrett (my great-grandmother). She had 2 daughters, Blanche Louise (my grandmother) and Edwina Mary. She was married to John Tayler Bowchier but left him and remarried as Mrs. Curtis. She was born in Melksham, Wiltshire about 1864. I am trying to find where she went. Family legend is that she emigrated to the U.S., but I can't find any trace of her. She left my grandmother but took her other daughter with her

Perrett in Dorset

My Perrett family originated in Dorset.
Buckhorn Weston, Mere and Gillingham.

One son Arthur Thomas Perrett left and lived for a while in London and joined the Met Police 1886-1888. Jack the Ripper time!

He then moved to Gloucester and set up home and so my direct family are centered there.

If anyone has any connections I would love to hear.

I am trying to trace several Perrett siblings originating from the Liverpool area who immigrated to Canada and the US in the early 20th century.
The first is David Edwin Thomas Perrett(son of James Henry Perrett and Fanny Higham) b. 29 May 1889 Liverpool. Arrived 29 May 1913 at Portland, Maine final destination: Toronto,Ontario, Canada. 1917 in Buffalo, NY; 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri with wife Ethel Makepeace; 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, wife Ethel and son James L. (2). Daughter Ruth Charlotte Lorraine b.16 Nov. 1930 in Illinois d. 11 March 1959 Contra Costa, California. David died 11 Jan 1973 Oakland, Alameda, California.Any information about this family and its descendants would be most appreciated. Thank you.

i was wondering if there were any Perrett's from Long Load in Somerset England out there. I live in Brisbane - Australia and my great grandfather migrated here on the Miltiades. About three years ago, i visited Long Load, and found distant relatives (population is small), and also some grave sites. It is unbeknown to us and the Perrett's in Long Load as to where the rest of Perrett's moved to. Just came across the name Elizabeth Perrett on the birth certificate of my great grandfather Albert Oswin Gaston. Albert was born to Elizabeth Perrett and John Henrry Gaston on October 5, 1870 in Wickwar. Albert later went to Canada in 1909 and family history has it that he had a brother (name unknown) who went to Australia.

I'm looking for information on Lydia Amy Perrett, born in England (probably near Bristol) in about 1894. Her parents were Charles William Perrett and Harriett Margaret Tappin. Lydia Amy Perrett lived in Salt Lake City, UT in 1914 at 777 So. 4th East. She was an officer in the Salvation Army. She came to the United States about 1910 probably through Canada. Between her arrival in the U.S. she spent time in Kansas City and Chicago. Does anyone have any information on her? Her brothers and sisters include Elizabeth Leah Perrett, Charles William Perrett, Dorothy Muriel Perrett, Lawrence Sidney Underwood Perrett, and Ivy Perrett.
