Surnames: Perszyk, Persik, Kichura, Kelly, Purol, Petrowiak
Since my last post I have come across a wealth of information regarding the Perszyk Surname and my family roots. I would like to find out if my family is related to the family of Perszyk's located either in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
My Great Great Grandfather John Perszyk was born in 1842 in Westpreusen West Prussia Germany. He died in Centervill Township, Leelanau County, Michigan in 1898. He married Kathryn Lewandowski. They had 7 children: Max Perszyk born August 9, 1876 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, John Perszyk born 1939 (?) in Milwaukee Wisconson, Leo Perszyk who changed his name to Leo Persik after moving to Leelanau Michigan, Helen Perszyk who also changed her name to Helen Persik in Traverse City, Michigan, Julia Perszyk, Frank Perszyk who died in 1939, and I believe a Brouislaw Perszyk, but a little unsure about this one.
Max Perszyk is my Great Grandfather. He was born in August 9, 1876 in Milwaukee Wisconsin and Died July 18, 1960. He married Blanche Petrowiak Purol also from Milwaukee. They had 10 children: Laura Perszyk, John J. Perszyk, born September 8, 1908 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Edwin Perszyk, in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Emil Perszyk, Rose Perszyk, born December 2, 1915, Sylvia A. Perszyk, Anthony Perszyk, May 11, 1911 or 1912.
Two Brothers, my great Great Grandfather John Perszyk, mentioned above, and Leo Perszyk (Persik) who married Adella Laduc or Leduc, bought two farms in Leelanau County, Michigan.
Here are other names in our family that I know on both the Perszyk and Persik sides of the family:
Perszyk: Laura, John, Edwin, Anthony, Raymond, Emil, Rose, Sylvia, Max, Sophie, Dennis, Dan, Tim, Bill, Benny (who was Julia Perszyk's son) Phillip, Sharon.
Persik: Leo, John, Anna, Katherine, Mary, Stella, Frances, Clement, Mary Jane, Angela Janed, Audrey.
We are also related to Milo Thiel, Jerry Kichura, Calvin Kelly, and I am sure many more but this is all I have for names.
My father told me that my Grandfather's family moved to Northern Michigan when he (Anthony Perszyk) was about 1, which would place them here from Wisconsin to Michigan somewhere between 1912 and 1913. The originated from Milwaukee Wisconsin.
I sure would appreciate any help in finding more of my relatives. Please contact me if you think in the least we may be connected.
