NOTE: Even though the age is wrong, I think this is him.

He may have died at Port Clinton on 29 Apr. 1896.

His parents were Lewis Pete and Ellen (possibly Jacobs).

I think Ellen died on16 March 1871 and is buried at St. Philomena Catholic Cemetery (LaPrairie), Wightmans Grove, Sandusky Co., OH.

He had 8 siblings, David, Delilah, Louis, Anthony, John, Julius, Emma & Mary.

I am serching for desc. of the children of Lewis/Louis E. PETE - Lewis b. abt. 1855 - where is confusing. On various census records it states Louis/Lewis was born in Ohio and France, with his parents being born in Ohio and also in France and Canda -
His wife was Mary L. (unknown) b. abt 1873 in Oh, as were her parents. Family is residing in Ashland Co.,OH in 1900 and 1910.
Children of Lewis/Louis E. and Mary were:

Harold Austin/Austin Harold 1899

I was just looking at your post on Mary Pete. My records have them listed as John Lemire & Marie Peet as parents of Marcelline Lemire born 19 Jan 1887

J. Bte. Lemire & Marie Pitre as parents of Marguerite Lamire born 2 Feb. 1893

They also have the name spelled Lamere
Like I said I have about 10 - 15 pages of Lamire - Lamere so it would cost you $1.00 or so to repay me for the postage if you want poto copies out of the books and the birth certificate for Bertha Lemire

Looking for descendants of (Amy) Mamie and Joe Pete b. 1884 Amy was the daughter of Robert E. Farmer and Amy Coleman. She was born in 1887. Their children were Katherine, Veronica, Clara, and Joseph. I am working on an update of the family trees in the Sheffer Pioneer Cemetery book, Ashland/Greenwood, NE. We are working on a new edition. I am also a descendant of Robert Farmer and Amy Coleman Farmer.

I am searching for information on my great grandfather. His name was Giuseppe Mikahla Paterna. He was born in Selerno, Italy in 1896. His name was Americanized when he arrived here, date unknown. His name was changed to Joseph Michael Peters, however, his family and friends affectionately referred to him as "Joe Pete". He lived in Vermont most of his life and died in Morrisville, Vermont in 1960. Anything look farmiliar? Thanks for looking.

Mike,My grandmother was Victoria Pete from Ville Platte,La. Her brother was Henry Pete. I was told the story of my great grandfather Pete being killed.Someone gave him a cup of poison cofee. I would like to hear from any of my cousins.

any ancestors from the Pete family. Grandfather would be from Macedonia. His real name would be Stoche Kolaf. Came to the United States and took the name of Tony Alexander Pete. He moved to Indiana and married a lady named Edna Sosby. I think they lived in Gary Indiana. I only know of a few children they had by the names of Tony,Linda,Janet. My father was Tony Pete.

I don't know much about the Pete family. I know my great great grandfather came from Canada by way of Europe. My grandfather was named William, and he died when he was in his 30's. His father I believe is named is George D. I know that most of my mom's side of the family came from Vaughnsville, and Rimer Ohio. They towns are like side by side, that's how close they are. My Rimers founded the town of Rimer. I do know that my grandfather Pete was in Toledo when my grandmother moved up to live with her aunt and uncle. I'm not sure how they met, but they were married in 1935. I wasn't aware that Pethe was another spelling of Pete. It's an usual name and very hard to find information for. If I can find more, I'll be sure to pass it your way. Maybe we have a connection.

I'm looking for any information on the Pete Family of Ohio. This family is hard to track. What little information I got was from newspaper articles. Anyway I'm looking for a George and Ruth (Cowic) Pete of Toledo Ohio. I don't have much infor on George, other than his mothers name was Martha. Ruth was born in Chambersberg PA on June 20th 1895 and died in 1952. Their children: William D. born in 1912/1913 and die in 1950.
James; and Richard. No information James or Richard. I believe that George and Ruth divorced and she remarried a Dr. Ralph Demming. No child were produced out of this marriage. I'm really concerned with finding some information on William D. He's my gradfather and there is nothing on him. This is very difficult and not to mention very frustrating. What little information I have is who he married, Evelyn Hughes in the late 1930's, and they had a daughter, Cherie Lee born on October 24, 1946. Any information would be helpful. Thank you!

wife of W.E. Dalby, age 42; all 3 children and mother born in OHIO
This is all the info I have on the Pete family, but do have info on W.E. (Waldo) Dalby.
