MARY A. MADISON DIES AUG. 9 (1928) AT POY SIPPI
Mary A. Madison was born in Ogdensburg, WI., Jan 19, 1876. Her mother died when she was a few weeks old. At the age of ten years, shortly after her father's death, she went to live with her uncle, Mr. Soren Peterson, of Saxeville, WI.
On March 22, 1899 she was married to Mr. Charles Madison, her surviving husband. They moved from Saxeville, where they had resided for ten years after their marriage to a farm one mile east of Poy Sippi where they have lived for nearly 20 years.
To this union were born 9 children, Avis, Leland, Guy, Harold, Marvin, Francis, Clarence and Cyrus. One son, Arnold, died at the age of five years.
Mrs. Madison has not been well for a number of years, and the last few months her health was impaired quite rapidly. She passed away at five o’clock on the afternoon of Aug. 9, at the age of fifty-two years, six months and 20 days.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Poy Sippi with burial there.
Besides her husband and children, she leaves three sisters and one brother, Mrs. S.S. Johnson of Waupaca, WI; Mrs. B. Scoville of Minneapolis, MN; Mrs. L.G. Weber of Green Bay, WI; and Mr. C.G. Peterson of Hoodsport, WA.
