I am Harry Petrea's great-granddaughter (maiden name Petrea).

This was quite exciting to find this, as I do not really know much about my Grandfather's (Vincent) side of the family.

Harry E Petrea Dies in Nashville, Ex-Centralia Man

Nashville--Harry E. Petrea, 77, Nashville photographer, died at his home yesterday after an extended illness. He moved to Nashville 35 years ago from Centralia.
He was born at Centralia. He married Florence Meyer at Carlyle in 1915 and she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are a son, Vincent of Ferguson, Mo., and two grandchildren. A brother, Alva F. Petrea, was killed in the No. 5 Mine disaster in Centralia in 1947.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday from the Smith Funeral Home, the Rev. Homer Young officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia.

I have no other info on this family.

Esther Petrea Who Married George Washington Plummer NC 1902

George Washington Plummer married for the second time an Esther Petrea in Cabarrus County, N.C., marriage license issued Nov. 29, 1902. She was 48 years old and lived in Concord (mother & father unknown). George was listed as 44, son of Solomon Plummer and Tempe Plummer, father living and mother dead, a resident of Township #1. R.C. Calloway was the witness. R.C. Calloway was the husband of Mary Elizabeth, Solomon Plummer's daughter and George's sister.

In your Petrea research, have you run across the above and if so, what do you know about this Esther Petrea? Also: do you know how this marriage ended? By 1910 George Washington Plummer has moved to Texas and is living there with all his children by his first wife, Catherine Green, who had died in 1899, and no wife is mentioned. On that same 1910 census, George is living close to his daughter Laura Ella and her new husband James Walter Hagler (my grandparents) and their new children, Jesse and Homer.
