Richard M. Petro, 70, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his home. He was born Dec. 2, 1937, in Elizabeth, a son of the late George and Sophie Petro. Prior to his retirement,
Richard was employed by U.S. Steel as a welder/grinder.
He was a member of Penn Township Christian Church, White Oak Gun Club, American Quarter Horse Association, McKeesport Sportsman's Club and North American Hunting Club.
; He is survived by his girlfriend, Elizabeth "Beth" Vehec; one son, Jason Petro and his wife, Alison, of Arizona;;
two daughters, Cheryl Petro, of McKeesport,
and Suzanne Pozzini and her husband, Randy, of Mahonning Township;
one brother, George Petro and his wife, Barbara, of North Huntingdon;
a sister, Janet Pavlak, of Maryland;
and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Don Brookshire officiating
