I am the GGgranddaughter of Jacob Petry, his wife's name was Cynthia Jane (Jenny) Shelton. He came from Germany, about the age of 12, to Portsmouth, Oh. and fought in the Civil War in the 56th Ohio Valley Infantry. He later moved to Greenup Co. Ky. and also worked there. His daughter, Angie Petry Kittle married James Robert Kittle and resided in Boyd Co., Ky. They were my Ggrandparents. I am trying to find out Jacob's parents names and farther back if possible. I know he had two sisters that lived in Portsmouth, Oh. and they both became Nuns. If anyone could help me, I would deeply appreciate it.
