Petterson family in South Africa

Hello,

I'm trying to find more, or any, information on a man, surname Petterson, who died during a regatta in South Africa sometime in the early 20th C., possibly around 1911. Unfortunately I do not have his first name, but his body was apparently bought ashore on to the Kalk Bay beach.

He was married; unfortunately I don't have his wife's name either. They had at least two children - Gertrude Elizabeth Petterson (c.1908 - 1980; she married Wilfred Hampshire; later she married Umberto Poletto) and Margaret Martha Petterson (d. 1988; she married James Eagles).

I have reason to believe they might also be related to an Andrew Petterson and a Charles Petterson (possibly died 1952). Andrew and his wife Lydia had at least two children - Andrew Charles Lewis Petterson (b. 1941) and Anita Ursula Petterson (b. 1946).

Any help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

They(Eva Freese) and siblings settled in Iowa from Poland/Germany, was Prussia at the time. Eva is my great grandmother and I believe she had a brother henry Freese, who would be my great great Uncle. I would like to know if we are related even though it has been since 2002 that you posted.
I believe you said one of your relatives married Henry Freese in Chicago. Please respond.

he came to New yourk in 1910, and went to wallace South dakota.We find him in 1920 Census here.
From here we think he went to California, we find a person the same name and age in 1930 Census.
We belive he died in California July 7 1970, his last adress was Gardena.

I have located them in the 1890 Cenus at Parish - Dorotea in the County of Vasterbotten.

They came to Canada in the early 1900's and settled in Sask (weeks area).

There were to more children - Alex and Erik.

I would love to hear from anyone who has any info on this family.

Hello - I am looking for some help locating the records and other family members of my great great grandfather, Jonas Petterson. He married Ingrid Kristina Appelquist, some time around 1880 or 1885. They had a son, who is my great grandfather, Alfred Johnson. Alfred was born 18 Oct 1886 in Urshult, Kronobergs, Smaland, Sweden, so I am assuming his parents are also from Urshult or a nearby town. All the info that I have on my great grandfather is that he was born in Sweden on Feb 6 1879. and came to the U.S.
and married in 0ctober 1907 to frances parker.
would like to find relatives of his in Sweden, or in the States if he remarried again. If anyone has any info they can pass on it would be great. The other info I have on John is that during the depression he disappeared and no one in the family knows what happened to him.
