My g-g-g-g-grandparents were Frances Pettit & Isaac Allen of Scott Co, VA & Surry Co.,NC. I have several questions about them.

1. Who were Frances' parents? I thought they were Thomas & Rachel Penn Pettit, but the dates don't look right. Isaac, Frances' husband, was b. in 1755 & the couple married in 1776, so Frances & Thomas may have been brother & sister instead.

2. The IGI reports that Frances d. in 1833 in Crab Orchard, KY, where one of her daughters, Annie, lived. By that time, Isaac had married a widow, Margaret Poplett. I figured Frances d. in childbirth around 1800 & could have been buried anywhere.

3. Other possibilities for Frances' father was Benjamin Pettit, both Jr. & Sr.

Does anybody have any info about this family?
