I have just found out that my great grandmother was Harriet A Petts originally from Croydon Surrey.

Thank you all who have made my search easier, because of your efforts that I have traced her family back to about 1630's.

Harriet married William John Green and they lived here in Ramsgate. There were lots of family around before I moved 35 years ago. Mostly to all the areas that have been mentioned, if only I had known all those years ago.
