Marjorie Lou Pewe, 82,
a former long time resident of Albuquerque,
died Wednesday, May 14, 2008
at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center
in Walla Walla, WA.
Mrs. Pewe was born August 11, 1925 in Sioux Falls, SD
to Peter N. &Louella Petersen.
She grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa
and was educated in public schools there.
Marjorie attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa for two years
and worked for the FBI in Washington DC.
On June 15, 1946, she married Paul D. Pewe
in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Mr. and Mrs. Pewe moved to Albuquerque in 1952.
Mr. Pewe died in 1980.
Mrs. Pewe enjoyed being a homemaker
and participating in her children's activities
especially as a swim team Mom.
She was also active in the Assistance League
Mrs. Pewe moved to Walla Walla in 2001
to be near her daughter's family and grandsons.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law of Walla Walla, Pam and Jim Hayner,
her son amd daughter-in-law of Bellevue, WA, Jeff and Pam Pewe
and two grandsons, Adam
and Scott Hayner of W. Hollywood, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
brother and parents.
Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA 99362, is in charge of arrangements in Washington. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, May 22, 2008, 1:30 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park,
