Deloris M. Pfadt, 69,
of Edinboro, Pa. passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008, at home after an extended illness.
She was born March 25, 1939 in Sykesville, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Chester Sylvis and Myrtle Irwin. Deloris was a resident of Edinboro and member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church for over 38 years. Deloris' life and passion was her family. She worked various jobs including Vanco Farms, Pfadt Landscaping and Edinboro University Food Services. Deloris enjoyed traveling, collecting frogs, crocheting, reading and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Deloris is survived by her husband of 52 years, James G. Pfadt, Sr.; two sons, James G. Jr., and his wife, Laura, of Edinboro; Timothy A., an his wife, Kimberly, of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Teresa Koon and her husband, Earl, of Edinboro; Marie Smith and her husband, David, of McKean; Debora Timko and her husband, Eric, of Edinboro; one brother, Clyde Sylvis, of California. Deloris is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Elijah, Holly and Timothy (T.J.) Pfadt, John Winkelbauer, Hannah Timko, Rachel Smith, Michael Smith and his wife, Kelly. Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, October 12, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie St., Edinboro. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, October 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Maple Dr., Edinboro, Pa. with Father John Jacquel presiding. Internment will follow at the Edinboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials and contributions may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Dr., Suite 14, Erie PA 16505, or Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Building Fund, 128 Maple Dr., Edinboro, PA 16412.
