Mary Louise "Monie" Moore Pfadt, age 91,
of Erie,PA, and formerly of the 700 block of West 26th St.
and St. Joseph's Apartments, died peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Mary's Home East. She was born in Erie on November 17, 1920 a daughter of the late Edward and Anna Nugent Moore. She was a life long member of Sacred Heart Church. She was formerly a bookkeeper for the National Forge and the Erie Times News. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, bowling, bocce and square dancing until the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerard Pfadt, Sr. in 1970 and six sisters, Elizabeth Hellman, Ellen Mantyla, Agnes Moore, Dorothy Geiger, Ruth Yochim and Katherine Sontheimer.
She is survived by two sons, David Pfadt and Gerard Pfadt and his wife Pamela all of Erie, three grandchildren, Nicole Pfadt LaPaglia and her husband Matt of Pittsburgh, BUCN Matthew Pfadt, U.S. Navy and Courtney Pfadt of Harrisburg, and a great-grandchild, Taylor Pfadt of Harrisburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, PA 16502 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to a service there on Wednesday morning at 10:30 followed by the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 11. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
