Hi Kelly, I'm Jim's cousin, we share the same great grandfather Louis Pfaehler. The family is from the Jersey City, NJ area. Louis had a brother, Gustave who was married to a Freida Knodel. I believe her mother's first name was Charlotte. Gustave and Freida had two children, Freida (who married Stephen Tuite (pronounced tweet), he was a police officer). She died sometime in the late 1960s early 1970s in a auto accident on the Garden State Parkway in NJ and a son, Gustave Pfaehler who died about 18-19 yrs old in Asbury Park, NJ. I think I have more info on Freida Knodel's family, I've got to dig it up. I do remember one strange item - one adult and two children dying on the same day, don't know the cause. If you think there might be a connection, please let us know, I'd be more than happy to share what we've got. Christina Peterson Lane

Here comes a Dietmar Pfaehler, who is still alive (53 years old), married, 3 children and a lot of knowledge about the Pfaehler's and their history in Germany.
But there must be an early splitt (around the farmers revolution in 15xx) where lots of information about history got lost.
Nevertheless, would be nice to here from you,
Dietmar.

Hi Sondra, I am glad that Michele Sherman found you. I did not know where you were located after she said that you and Buddy were divorced. I tried to find your phone number but don't know how you have it listed. My e-mail address is Tccdlc32@cs.com and my home phone is 889-3269. Please call me sometime. Michele and I have traded a lot of information on families. Glad to hear that your dad is still living and doing well. I knew that your mother had passed away. I did not know how Arthur Hopkins was related to me until I started this research. His mother had died before I was born and my father died when I was 16 so I did not know much about his side of the family. I remembered names and knew they were related but did not know how. My brother, Tommy, told me that Dana was still living in Midland Park but I never did get around to calling him. I haven't done much research in the past 3 or 4 months. I need to get started back. Are you living in your father's house in Lenevar? Hope to hear from you soon. I just found this on the message board yesterday.

Louise Christensen

Louise, I am just finding about these great areas as Michele Sherman contacted me by e-mail. My mother died in 1980. Daddy is alive and will be 89 years old on March 37. He is doing good. Just a little slow in moving about, but still sharp as a tack. He gets out and around. Am trying to help Michele with family info. Have contacted Budddy as we have been divorced for 13 years and he lives in Fla. He wasn't much help. I think maybe he knows things, but just didn't help much. Am going to contact his brother, Dana to see what I can get from him and also am updating my children info and such. It was really interesting to hear from her and am looking forward to the info for my 4 children and 10 grand children. Will look forward to hearing from you. Sondra. I live in Charleston in Lenevar.
