John Pfohl Dies; Sanborn Farmer
SANBORN, Dec. 12—John B. Pfohl, 65, a well known farmer in this area, died unexpectedly at his home in Walmore Rd., Town of Lewiston, Saturday (Dec 10, 1955).
Mr. Pfohl, son of the late Ferdinand and Auguste Milleville Pfohl was born in the Town of Wheatfield and lived most of his life on the farm where he died. His wife, Elenore Pfahrnwald Pfohl, died in June of 1947. He was an active member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walmore.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Kroening, Mrs. Martha Hasely, Mrs. Verone Hasely and Mrs. Lizzie Haseley, all of Sanborn, and Mrs. Elenore Goeseke, N.Y.; four sons, the Rev. John Pfohl. Loyal Wis., Sigmund Pfohl, Niagara Falls, Louis and Max Pfohl, Sanborn; 15 grandchildren, and 3 great children.
Funeral services will be conducted at his home at 2 p.m. tomorrow and at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Martin Pempeit. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
