Allegany Woman Killed By Train
Mrs. Catherine Phearsdorff, 82, of Allegany, was struck and instantly killed by an eastbound Erie train at the St. Bonaventure crossing, just west of Olean, early Tuesday morning. At the time there was a train going in the opposite direction, and it is believed the aged woman became confused.
