Does anyone have information regarding George Phillips? In the History of Washington County (Maryland) book published in 1906, it mentions the following:
"George Phillips, son of Christopher Phillips (resident at Rainham, St. Martins near Rougham in the hundred of Gallow, County of Norfolk, England). George arrived in Massachusetts Bay Colony in gov. Winthrop's Fleet and became 1st Minister of Watertown. He was born in Norfolk, England in 1593 and died in 1644. George's son, John, shared in forming institutions of New England since 1630.
In 1865, John Allen Phillips moved family to Sandy Hook area (Maryland)."
I am a descendent of John Allen Phillips. I am searching for the connection from George Phillips (or his father, Christopher) to John Allen Phillips. Thanks.
