Jim Phillis, a prisoner awaiting trial in the Atoka jail for larceny, died Wednesday morning of typhoid fever. He had been in jail but a few days, and was brought up from Wapanucka. It was thought that he had a sister residing in Hartshorne but all efforts to locate his relatives have proved in vain. Durant News.
