I am looking for details of the family of SAMUEL PHILP. He died in Bundaberg, Q'land, Australia on 18th January 1945. Coroner's details give his birthdate as 31st December 1863 at Truro Cornwell, England. His parents are named as JOHN PHILP - miller and JANE SHANRODEN. He worked his passage to Australia as a young man in 1870's, possibly with neighbours from Cornwell, as he seems to have kept in contact with some of his shipmates. He was a pioneer farmer at Mt Larcom Qld. He was a younger member of a large family, and he told his children that he had never met some of his older siblings. The only name we have is a married sister Mrs Addis. He married MARY JANE FEENEY at Bundaberg Qld. on 1st June 1893 and they had 9 children, one being my father William Bertred PHILP.
