Sorry none of my family come from Devon, Cornwall, all from Lancashire,i.e., St Helens, Preston where there is a town called Fishwick a lot of Fishwick's come from Durham area too but none of mine.

I am researching the Physick surname in Cornwall and Devon England and not having much success. Do you have any relatives from this area? I have an Elizabeth Physick (my 7th G-Grandmother), born 1699 in Cornwall, died in Hatherleigh, Devon, England. She married Robert Pearse.

Hi Gill,

My name is Ann Johnson (Nee Fishwick) and I live in Queensland, Australia.

I was born in St Helens, not far from you where there is a very large amount of Fishwick's. I have done my family tree back to the early 1600's on the Fishwick line and in the early days I had surnames as Physick, Pysick just a couple of he variations meaning Fishwick. Fishwick's origin is with the Viking invasion of Scotland way back when.

Do you have any fishwick's in your family. Be interested to hear from you.

Hello there

I was born in Liverpool where my father Joseph Physick,now deceased was 1 of 6 children. My grandfather was the commador of a fleet of Tugs on the river mersey and as was tradition all of his sons followed him on to the river. My father became a Tug boat skipper.
