Pyett was the spelling of the branch of my family from Niagra on the Lake, Ontario. Grandpa, Arthur Allan Pyett was one of 12 children born on that homestead, which is still in the family. We had our last Pyett family reunion in Canada last year. My mother was Ruth Arlene Pyett, born in Sasketchewan in 1920 and died in 2005 here in Washington State, USA. Have over 700 family members on our mailing list at last count. Sincerely, Susan

I am forwarding this message for Dick Piatt. When he tried to post it a couple of weeks ago the board wasn't working.

Regarding the PYETT family, did your family originate in Canada or USA? If not, have you traced them back to another country? What was the earliest date you have traced on your family? Thank you.
Dick Piatt, PA.

I have been researching for a number of years, can't recall if I have contacted you before or not, you say you have 700 family members, if you are related to Irene Mundt or Conrad Johnson (both I beleive are deceased)then you are related to me, I provided Conrad with the details of Samuel Pyett who emigrated to Canada from Suffolk UK (where I still live, about 15 miles from his birthplace)in 1830 who became a saddlebag preacher.
I was in contact with Irene and met Conrad when he was on his visit over here a few years ago, I have a large database on Pyetts etc over here, it would be nice to have a copy of your data, perhaps a gedcom file for expanding the tree.
Kind Regards
Garry Pyett
