MADAWASKA - Monique E. Picard, 74, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born Nov. 14, 1935, in Cabino, Quebec, the daughter of Hormidas and Alice (Lavoie) Pelletier. Monique was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Her biggest pleasure in life was her family whom she loved very much. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Norman "Joe" Picard of Madawaska; five daughters, Patricia Fillmore and her husband, Millard, of Naples, Lynn Petcher of Gray, Denise Picard of South Portland, Louisa Picard of Freeport, and Sylvie Guerrette and her husband, Kevin, of St. David; three grandchildren, Ben Fillmore, Avery Fillmore and Ian Petcher; one brother, Gates Pelletier and his wife, Sharon, of Florida; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Pauline Pelletier; and by one brother, Gee Pelletier. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be held later in the spring in the parish cemetery.
