Dear Betty,
My Mother was Cora Gladys Cockroft. She had an elder sister named May whose funeral was about 12th January 1979. Their Mother was Ethel Pickles, but I am having trouble to find the name of the Father who was always referred to lovingly simply as Dad. His surname was Cockroft.
They lived in Halifax Yorkshire England.
and The Wilroyde, 175 Queens Road, Halifax. during and prior to 1937-1938
In April 1935 they resided at 39 Newstead Terrace, Halifax Yorkshire.
"Dad" Cockroft fell ill September 1943 and was still O.K. as at 24th August 1944. Aparently he did not last the summer or perhaps even into the summer.
