the pickney surname was originally spelled PEQUIGNEY. Francois Xavier Pequigney and his wife Rosalie Deloye Pequigney are buried in a cemetary in Winchester, Tennessee. I am the daughter of Pauline and have a great deal of information on the Pickney family. Are you the daughter of Ben?

[Robert Benjamin] Munson born 1814 in South Carolina according to the 1850 Holmes County, MS census was a Printer and married Sarah born 1821 in Mississippi. They had 4 children at the time and will try to spell as written in the census.

I am descended from JPW born near Newark,Ohio , Licking co.,in 1817. I am from his son, Daniel. We believe JPW's parents were John and Elizabeth (White) of Lower Canada. We do not know if the White was a maiden name, a first marriage name, or even a second marriage name. Are you from Hezekiah's line ?

Are you a 4th or 5th generation? I would give anything if the Bible was still in our family. I just got Family Tree Maker and was trying to do some searching on the Pickney name. I love doing this, just wish I had more time. How do I find the Pickney book in the Library?

The earliest date in the in the French Bible was Louis Pickney married to Mary E. Stolz on April 22, 1884. Sorry, I'm only beginning in my Family History search and do not have much earlier than this.

I am a granddaughter of Francis Joseph Pickney. They also lived in Winchester, TN. You may have known them. I'm James L. Pickney daughter. I would be interested in knowing more about my family heritage if you could send me some information. There was a French family Bible with names that dated back but, the Bible has dissappeared. A long time ago, I made a copy of some of the names and dates. I'm glad now that I did.
