Edward P. Pilarski, 89, of Jefferson Hills, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Annamarie (Reiss) Pilarski; dear father of Elaine (William) Lavelle, of Florida, and Donna (Ray) Gibson; grandfather of Stacey (Scott) Johnson, of Maryland, William (Christen) Lavelle, of Ohio, Laura Lavelle, of Florida, and RaeAnn (Steven) Matiasic; great-grandfather of Reagan and Bridget; stepgreat-grandfather of Raegan; son of the late Frank and Anna (Pawlak) Pilarski; also survived by two brothers and one sister. Predeceased by seven brothers and one sister. Mr. Pilarski was a sergeant in the Army serving in World War II and a member of Brentwood VFW Post 1810. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at CIESLAK & TATKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 2935 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 412-881-2300. Funeral prayer will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday.
