I would like to invite anyone in the Pina/Pena/Pigman (and other variations of the spelling) to look at and hopefully participate in the genetic genealogy study at
http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/pina/results. This study and the Pena study is very interesting. My results are posted there and it seems as though the families are related.
The facts seem to be that the Pigna (silent g) family (Italian) were located in Italy, France and northern Spain at various times.
If anyone is interested in discussing this subject please contact me. I will try to answer any questions you may have about the families' origins or questions about the y-dna tests or studies.
Thanks,
Curtis Pigman
