My great-great grandfather id Felician Pinaire. His son, John Felcian Pinaire, left Indiana as a young man. He married my great-great grandmother in Bluff City Kansas. He probably came to Kansas because his Uncle, Jean F. Pinaire, settled in Leavenworth, Kansas before Kansas became a state, perhaps in about 1857. John F. then went on to help settle Oklahoma, living in Guthrie OK around the time the land rush. He and his wife,Nettie Berkshire Pinaire ,then lived in various places in Missouri, ie Mexico MO and Joplin Mo as well as Moark Arkansas. They then returned to the home of Nettie's father, Greenberry Berkshire, which was a farm in Champaign County, IL., where they raised there family, including my grandfather, Claude E. Pinaire. My grandfather, married Hazel Burley, and they raised there family on that same homeplace, including my father, Claude E. Pinaire,Jr.,brother Larry, sister, Sandy, brother Robert, and brother, Richard. That home place is now owned by Larry Pinaire and is occupied by he and his wife. Richard Pinaire
