I am trying to find the factual parents of Samuel Arthur Pinkston - born in June 1922, died Sep 1987. He is buried at Fort Benning Post Cemetery. His wife was Mary L. Her maiden name may or may not be Robilard (not sure of spelling). She was born Oct. 1923 and died Jan. 2002. Only known child of Samuel and Mary was Mary Jo. Birth date unknown. Mary Jo died July 2003.

A 1930 census shows a Samuel A Pinkston, age 55, with a wife, Mittie age 55, son Durwood age 27, daughter Lois age 25, daughter Eula age 17 and a son Sam age 13. Son Sam, age 13 fits the timeline.

The granddaughter of Samuel Arthur and Mary says her mother told her that Samuel Arthur's father was full blood Cherokee as well as the mother of Mary.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
