Death in Mclean County.

Was Riding Mule Home From His Work.

Formerly Lived in daviess

Was Forty- Three Years of Age and is
Survived by Widow and Six Children.
Tom Pinkston, formerly of Panther,
and well known in Daviess county,
was killed yesterday in Mclean County,
while riding a mule home from work.
Mr. Pinkston, who works on the farm
of George R. Irvin, in Calhoon neighborhood,
was returning from a field to the barn.
The mule became frightened at some
clothes on a line and started to run.
Mr Pinkston lost his balance and fell
from the mule, his feet catching in the
traces.He was dragged for a quarter of
a mile before the mule was stopped.
The man was fearfully bruised about
the head and body by striking against
objects in the field. He was taken into
a nearby house where he died ten minuted
later.
MR. Pinkston was about forty- three
years and is sirvived by a widow and six
children. He only recently moved to Mclean
county from Daviess county. He was a hard
working farmer and highly respected.
He had many friends in the county. No
arrangements has been made.

was carring my Grandmother at the time of Thomas death. so Thomas left behind 6 1/2 children. LOL my grandmother was born a few months later..
