Help!! I am trying to connect my g,g, grandfather, James Pinson to the male pinsons listed in the 1810 or 1820 SC census. James Pinson was born approximately 1817 in South Carolina. He married Charity ? who was born in Georgia. They married in 1837. The first few children were born in Alabama from 1838 to 1843. Then he moved to Arkansas. He is listed in the 1850 Saline, Ar census. At some time he moved to Louisiana and lived there for a few years. He is listed in the 1860 Claiborne Parrish census and then in 1870 he is back in Arkansas and listed in the Columbia, AR census. Then he and some of his children including my great grandfather moved to Wood Co., TX. His sons were Harrison born abt. 1838; William R. born abt. 1840; James b. abt. 1841; Andrew b. abt. 1843; Joseph b. abt. 1844 and Marion b. abt. 1856. He also had daughters Francis, Melvina, Charity, Ellen, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary.
