My husband's gr-gr grandfather was Allen Pinson who was married to Elizabeth"Sally" Lee. They were married 27 Feb 1859. Allen was born 02 Nov 1785 and died 18 Nov 1858. Sally was born 11 Sept 1811 and died 16 Sept 1883. John C and Elvira Joshphine"Piney" Young had 10 children. Lilburn was my husband's grandfather. They also had Josephine Ella. I don't have much on her. I'll be happy to try and answer any questions that you might have. Thanks Sharon

Good afternoon: What information do you have regarding Quendara Gladine Stapleton. I have seen alternate spellings and I am not sure whcih is correct. She always used Q. Gladine. It is not even spelled out on her gravestone.

Ruby and Bill Pinson were my grandparents. I remember Aunt Clara very well and I also remember Diana from years ago. Our families did not stay in touch very well. My father was Eugene Pinson (died 1998). Grampa Bill and Clara were the children of James and Emma (Hall) Pinson. James's father was John A. Pinson and his wife's name was Elizabeth. I am helping a friend locate information on her grandmother (great-grandmother?), Artie Collier who m Emmet Donly Hamilton. Artie is apparently the daughter or adopted daughter of Verdie Pollard before Verdie married William/Wylie M Joiner; she appears with them on the 1910 census for Hamilton Co. I would like to get her in touch with you, since you seem to have a lot more info about Verdie, whom she did not know about. (She did know that the name Joiner was allied with her family.)

I am interested in the Pinson that was married to your "Ellen" Pinson-Nelson. I'm trying to locate the parents to my gr grandfather, David Franklin (Frank) Pinson, b. ca 1849 in SC probably Laurens Co. Believe his mother was a Mary White of Laurens, SC. David Frank went to Lumpkin County, GA, m. Charity Elizabeth Brown, and eventually went to AR and OK. Any info would be appreciated.

Wondering about the Preston/Pinson connection. My great grandfather was Henry Preston Pinson who died in Barboursville, West virginia. According to cemetary record, his father was Preston.

Mrs. Nancy PINSON, 100, familiarly known in the KY, W.VA., border country around INEZ as “Aunt Nan” died March 04, 1945, at the home of a son, Mack PINSON, near INEZ. She would have been 101 years old June 7. “Aunt Nan” an authority on the history of Martin County, KY and Mingo County, W.VA.., was active and in good health until last Saturday when she suffered a stroke. Born in a log cabin near Nolan, W.VA.., she lived in the same area all her life. Her husband Thomas PINSON, died 35 years ago. Five of their ten children survive. They are Ben PINSON, Kenova, W.VA.., Robert PINSON, Kermit, W.VA.., Boon PINSON Beauty, KY., Mack PINSON, and James PINSON, the oldest, who is 82, both of near INEZ. I may have incorrect information. I am a Floyd descendant of Aaron Pinson. I was told Aaron married Elizabeth Omehundro (Fairfax county, VA, from memory). He had a son named Moses. Moses' daughter was Patience Pinson who married Sam Floyd; settled in Bartow County, Ga. It was an Aaron Pinson who had a will in the late 1700's so this might be the second Aaron.

If this still reaches you, Christy, David Franklin Pinson is my husband's gr grandfather. I do have family history, but do not know who his parents were. We believe a Loraine (Orainy)(Orana) White of SC to be his mother, no proof. Charity's parents were Joshua and Sarah Brown.

Dorothy was born Dorothy Mae Watson of W VIRGINIA. She then married a man named Schillings (Dorothy Mae Schillings) After the Devorce she then went to Okla to marry a Ezaria Pinson. There marreige licence reads Dorothy Schillings. So she could go by Dorothy Schillings Pinson or just Dorothy Pinson. She was born Age 14th 1931. She has 4 children with Mr Pinson. Kelly Thelma Steven and Cindy. All Adopted out. I am Cindy. The last we heard is she was liveing with her brother in Battle Creek MI. They cared for there father before he passed. License issued Feb. 4 1840 for Marriage of Benjamin Lewis and Anna Jesse. Bond signed by Benjamin Lewis, Jarret Pinson

Benjamin Lewis and Anna Pinson February 4 1840 signed by Benjamin Lewis and Jarrot Pinson father of Anna

Benjamin Lewis may have been the son of a Benjamin Lewis of Pike Co. born abt. 1775 died abt 1844 - the older Benjamin bought 50 acres from Henry Stratton in 1821 in the Levisa Fork/Russell Fork area - I don't have a description of the land. The older Benjamin may have been born in Mecklenburg Co. VA into the family of Edward Lewis and Mary Bressie and related to Thomas Lewis of Daniel's Creek/Mare Creek. He may also be the son of a Morris Lewis age 80-90 found in Pike county court records in the 1830's

I would like to find any records/information on these two Benjamins. If you can help in any way I would greatly appreciate it.

I suggest the book: Descendants of Bartholomew Stovall (1665-1722) (First 5 American Generations) compiled by Donald Bishop. It contains abt 180 Pinson names in its index, descendants of Deliliah Stovall and Aaron Pinson Jr. Does anyone have info on Moses Pinson (son of Aaron III) and Moses's wife (Margaret Henry/Harry/Harris) and their dau Patience who marrried Samuel Floyd? I am trying to make the connection from the Pinsons to the Floyds in Hall Co Ga to Cass/Bartow Co Ga to Sequoyah Co Ok.

I'm trying to sort out Street Henry Pinson (specifically his parents). There is conflicting info as to who his parents are. This is what I have:

m. Martha Williams (b.1816)
and 5 children.

I have seen Moses Pinson as his father but I'm curious as to how this is sourced? Can you help?

I dont' know much about the Bolings. Isabella Boling was mu great great grandmother. Her parents and so forth just came up when I entered her and linked into someone elses family tree.
