I have info. on the original Pitner family
that in the late 1600's came to Pa. The
father, John, died and buried at sea. Baby,
Henry with mother supposedly lived in Buck Co.
One of the descendants was Michael Pitner who
married Catharine Ruble and in 1800 moved
from Rockingham, Va. to Tn. They had a large
family and in early 1800's moved to Illinois.
My husbands gggrandfather was Wilson Pitner, a
Episcopal Methodist Minister in Oregon and
Washington, died in Spokane, Wn. area. Does
this ring a bell?
