What a surprise to actually get a response from something posted 10 years ago. I posted the message when my kids were in grade school doing a family tree. When I didn't get any replies, I thought that my dad's family had died or didn't want to communicate with us.

I am talking to my oldest sister we call "Nandy". Do you have a sister that you call "Newdy" and a brother named Alonzo? She remembers seeing photos my aunt Emilia had of the whole family and showed her that she looks alot like "Newdy".

My tia Emilia has a picture of your dad in the living room. I never met him but he was a very handsome man! Of COURSE, it runs in the family.

Maria,

My name is Irma and my mom's parents were Jose Pizana and Tomasa Garcia from Laredo, Texas. She had a brother name Arnulfo who passed away. I know that he was married twice. His first wife was named Fatima and second wife Carmen.

His other siblings names are, Francisca(Panchita) who lives in Racine, Wisconsin, Emilia Rodriguez and Alonzo who live in Laredo, Texas. My mother, Fernanda, is the oldest sister also lives in Laredo.

Hi Maria,
I know that my grandfather, Jose Pizana, had two brothers that lived together in Tecumseh, Michigan. Their names were Benjamin and Lalo. I think they had a sister, Aurelia, who lived in Akron, Ohio.

My grandmother's name was Tomasa Garcia.

I am positive you and I are related.

My name is Irma and my mother, Fernanda, is your dad's sister. His other siblings are Francisca (Panchita who lives in Wisconsin), Emilia and Alonzo both live in Laredo, Tx. I can not believe I found this email on line. My sister and I have talked about doing a research on our family but we never do.

Did you all live in Chicago at one time? My sister and I have talked, years ago, about looking for Arnulfo's children. This is amazing! I see that this was posted 10 years ago.

Hi, my name is Yolanda, I just found out that my Grandmother was related to Aniceto and Indalecio Pizana. Her name was Maria Delfina Garzoria, married Rafael Saldivar. Her Dad was Francisco Garzoria and her mom was Guadalupe Saldana. My great Grandfather Cresencio Saldana (her) Grandfather participated on the train robbery of 1895 when en route to (Point Isabel) now Port Isabel. I don't know if Aniceto Pizana was related to her by her Mom or her Dad.

Hola, tambien soy Pizana y vivo en Houston. Mi padre fue Victor Pizana M(Martinez) nacio en Cd. Lerdo, Durango en 1878. Entiendo que mi abuelo se llamaba Victor tambien. La leyenda familiar es que mi bisabuelo se llamaba Eugenio, que era de Italia (Palermo?)y que la bisabuela era de Espana y se llamaba Josefa Valdivieso. Tuve una tia llamada Josefa y un hermano llamado Eugenio. Segun que los abuelos vivian en Texas y que mi abuela se llamaba Ma. Ignacia Martinez de San Antonio. En los treintas nuestra familia vivio en Crystal City. Mi hermana mayor (92 anos) dice habia familiares en Lockhart. A ver si tenemos oportunidad de conocernos.

Que tal!! yo también soy Pizaña y soy del edo. de Hidalgo, en México, aca hay muchos pizañas y conozco a varios de Torreón, Coahuila.

hay what's up, my last name is Pizaña, I don't know too much about it, but my family is from matamoros, tamaulipas Mexico, and some family lives in USA and another part lives in Mexico, I actually live in monterrey mexico. I just remeber that the lastname of the father of my grandpa was Pizaña Atkinson... I have study about the family and I have found that there are two diferent Pizaña families in Mexico. What do you know?

I have very little to go on with this family.

I'm not sure about the 1880 birthdate. Juan's age varies wildly on the 2 censuses where I've found him. His wife's name was Maria.

Their children were: Clement 1901, Severa 1903, Senon 1906, Secundino 1910. All born in Mexico.

In 1920, they were living in Morgan Twp, Murray, Oklahoma. In 1930, Juan was living with his daughter Severa and her husband Maximino Martinez in Parker County, Texas. He was widowed by then.

Severa was my husband's grandmother, but I have been unable to find any information on her brothers and did not find them anywhere on the 1930 Texas census nor on the SSDI nor in the Texas Death Records.

Looking at this message board, looks like there are more Pizaña's then I thought. First of i'd like to say my name is Gabriel Pizaña born in Woodland California. I am son of Roberto Pizaña born in Delicias, Chiguagua Mexico raised in Ejido Agustina Ramirez Municipio de Angostura Sinaloa. His father Gabriel Pizaña born in Durango and Died 1961. That is as far as my family tree goes. My dad married my mom in michigan in 1953.
Trying to find out if Arnulfo's family is still in Laredo???

Victor Pizana Martinez, my father, was born in Lerdo, Durango, But grew up in Coahuila, (Muzquiz, I think). My GF was also Victor Pizana (..?..) who lived in now Texas and is said to have had a small ranch around Bastrop. GM was Ignacia Martinez from San Antonio(?). My fathers first wife was Victoria Martinez from Mexico. Had 9 sons and two daughters but only our sons and two daughters remain. Any info on long lost relatives.
