I am having the hardest time tracing the history of my family. When my grandfather Frank came over from Meshbish, Russia (now Bialorussia), we think he had the name changed to Placer from something else, but we don't know what from... possibly Plesser or Plasser, but I have had no luck proving either. Frank was born Aug. 3, 1906 and died Feb. 1970. He was married to Anne Weissman, born June 14, 1915 in Brooklyn, NY and died July 11, 1995.
