I also have a copy of the Plamondon book. The descendant's of George Francis Plamondon mostly live today around the Olympia, Wa. USA area. I have had many visits with various family members. George wrote his manuscript because he wanted everyone in his side of the family too know that they did not have any Indian blood in his direct line. Who will ever know why he felt that he needed to show that difference.
But the funny fact is that he forgot to dig a little deeper into his great grandmothers ancestry through Simon Plamondon, who himself was 1/4 Abenaki Indian through his grandmother on his mother's side.
