Delaware Pleasanton's mid-1700's

I'm looking for early 1700's information on the Delaware Pleasanton's. I've traced my Grandmother's family back to David Pleasanton, born circa 1733, died April 1774. He married Deborah Luff (born circa 1740, died 1788) in 1761. I'm new at this but find it very interesting. Any tips for me would be appreciated.

I don't have it documented but, I believe the general is from the Maryland Pleasonton's who moved from Deleware, where the family name is spelled Pleasanton. I believe the town in California, along I-695, is named after the general.

I am trying to connect to a Harvey Pleasanton born January, 1895 in Delaware, probably. He died January, 1978 in Kent Co., DE. On January 4, 1920 he married Leatha Sherwood also in Kent Co., DE. Leatha was born September 2, 1897; died June 12, 1984 in Kent Co., DE. Both are buried at Lakeside M. E. Cemetery, Dover, Kent Co., DE. By 1930 they had 2 sons: James born October 23, 1921 and Elmer J. born February 17, 1922. Do any of these people connect with your Delaware Pleasanton's ? If so, please contact me at vze2qtcv@verizon.net. I would like to find Harvey's forebearers and descendants. I am related through his Sherwood wife. Thanks, and sincere regards, Janice

I have been looking for Mary's connections. Her sister died unmarried in Mary's and Griffith's home. I would be interested in your lineage I have a lot to share re descendants of Mary.
