Im a Plese, my name is Ashley..My mothers name is Linda Plese, daughter of Helen Plese. We all live in Saskatchewan, and there are many Plese, and "Plesa" that live in Ontario, they changed their name to "Plesa" when they moved from Croatia.

I'm a Plesh, born 1952, New Orleans. My father was Dwight, his father was Anton Plese and his grandfather was Anton who was born in Croatia. I thought they were from a town in Croatia that starts with D. I read that others mention Delnice. There were others -- a Mary, a Jack.

I too have an grandfather George Plese, b. 15 Mar 1865 in Crni Lug, d. 29 Oct '43 in Holland Mich. My father's name was Louis, my uncles were George, John and Joseph. My aunts were Mary, Doreen, Francis, maybe Irene. The family started in Joliet, IL, maybe in Lockport. Any of this familiar? Most sincerely, humrhumr@yahoo.com

I also had a grandfather by the name of Anton Plesh.

My father was Frederick Plese. His father was Steve (Stefan) Plese. Steve was married to sisters. I had an Aunt Katherine Plese and Frances Plese Peck. There are many of us. We had a family reunion in Colorado a few years ago with many distant cousins...I have relatives that keep in touch with family in Croatia. I still have family in northern Minnesota on the Iron Range as-well-as the Twin Cities........

My grandmother was Mary Plesh Gasperich b. 10 April 1888 - d. 22 Sept. 1952. She had a brother Anton, sister Frances m. ? Pajnich, sister Katarina m. Walter Dokmanovich. Her father was Anton Plesh and Mary Marusic b. 2 Jan. 1864 dt. of Blas Marusic and Lucija Plese.

Anything ring a bell? I know my grandmother had relatives somewhere in MN, but don't know where or who.

Was your Grandfather, Stephan Plese, married to two women whose maiden name was Stimac? Was he from Lokve, a village now in Croatia? Did he settle in Hibbing, MN?
