Richard I. "Dick" Pletcher August 16, 1940 - April 26, 2009 Richard I. "Dick" Pletcher, 68, of McAlevy's Fort, died Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home. Born August 16, 1940, in Boggs Township, he was a son of the late Stewart and Gladys Ripka Pletcher. On October 17, 1959, he married Susan O'Bryan who survives. Dick was a 1958 graduate of Bald Eagle High School. He was an operator and meter technician at the power plant at Penn State for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He was associated with Jehovah's Witnesses. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman, both locally and in Delaware. Along with his wife, Susan, he is survived by two children, Jennifer Mitchell and her husband, Tobey, of Huntingdon, and Scott Pletcher and his wife, Tracey, of State College; three grandchildren, Trevor, Taylor and Jaelyn Mitchell; three brothers, Zeke Pletcher and his wife, Denise, of Bellefonte, Floyd Pletcher and his wife, Joan, of State College, and Larry Pletcher and his wife, Sharon, of Texas; and two sisters, Janet Pletcher and her husband, Darl, of Bellefonte, and Carol Bowman, of Nevada. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. His funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Elder Bob Myers officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
