NAVASOTA — Services for Edward J. “Dutch” Plocheck, 79, of Plantersville are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville.

The Rev. Edward C. Kucera Jr. of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Monday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota and from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church.

A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Plocheck died Saturday in Memorial Southwest Hospital in Houston.

He was born in Plantersville and lived there for 19 years. He was retired from Exxon and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps Flying Tigers during World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Shelia Faye Vickers of Houston; two brothers, Manuel Plocheck of Vann, Texas, and Willie Plocheck of Crosby, Texas; and three sisters, Clara Richmond of Baytown, Texas, Genevieve Klapesky of Anderson and Lena Zawacki of Houston.
