I have just found a marriage record for Rosie Ploucher to Willie Catron in Multnomah Co., Oregon in 1910. I am wondering if you know anything about her. I believe that she must be related to your family. They are living in Yakima Co., WA on the 1920 census and she is 46 years old. so she must have been born about 1874, unless that is a mistake.

Hi Cousin Jules, I am Brenda Plocher, grandaughter of George Washington Plocher Sr. who is the son of Gilbert Wright Plocher Sr. My father is George Washington Plocher Jr. I seen your message at ancestry.com stating that you have information regarding the "Plocher Family Tree". I have unconfirmed information that our family originated in Weisbadan, Germany and that the spelling of our name was changed upon arrival to the States. My question to you is do you know what year we came to the states and what our name was prior to our arrival. In addition, I also have some information regarding our "Family Tree". If you have any questions regarding more recent Plocher History maybe I can help. Please e-mail me with any findings or information you may have.

Sharing your Bloodline
Brenda Plocher

Hi Barbara
thanks for response and info on General vonBlucher,
and John J. Plocher/Ploucher.
As to my grandfather, John Matthew Blucher, as far as
I know he was born in Md. but maybe not??
Born 2/9/1875 died: july 26, 1930 in Balto.
City Hopital of T.B. Wife was Martha Ellen
(Baseman). John's father, my grandfather, was
Richard T. Blucher, married to a Mary. I don't have
any dates on him as yet..but probably born in
mid 1850's, I'm guessing. I am researching him at present.
If I find any connection to the Pa. group, I'l let you know.
Thanks so much. Maybe one of his 6 son's was my great
grandfather...who knows!

to

am researching maiden name BLUCHER. It seems as tho
it was changed somewhere from Plocher to Blucher and even
blocher, blocker. My grandfather was John Matthew Blucher b. 12.1875
d. 7/25/1930.
Great Grandfather: Richard T. Blucher b.abt 1841
d. 2/21/1892.
Trying to verify g.g.grandfather was Matthias PLOCHER, b.1811
died aft. 1852 and married Angeline Baker.b.1817 d. 9.1900.
Also trying to verify g.g.g.granfather: Ferdinand Plocher
who married Catharina Schmidt.
This info was sent to me by a david a.Blocher in Washington, who
thinks he found it on the Internet. He is trying to find out
who/where he got info from.
Any of this sound familiar?
Thanks

hi shelly
thanks for quick reply. I know David Alvin Blocher's
e-mail at televar doesn't work..for me at least.
But I wrote him a letter about 3 weeks ago..his home
address is on his home page and he responded.
I am now awaiting a reply. Surprisingly, on his PLOCHER site
he had info on my family!. In my letter to him, i asked
him where he got the info...and he thought someone by
the name of Smith had it but he was not sure.
The info he got from this Smith person listed my
g.g. and g.g.g. grandparents! But I am trying to verify
the info. I will contact eblocher@aol.com per your
suggestion and mention your name.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Mary! What are the dates for your Richard and John? Our family story is this; Gebhardt vonBlucher a famous Prussian General, had a son or grandson who went to Florida for health reasons. Unfortunately, he died there. His family moved to the Phila. area to be with other family members. I've been able to trace back to John J. Plocher/Ploucher (he spelt it various ways) born in Pa. 1820. John had 6 sons. He also had a brother Christian. If you ever make a connection please let me know.

Hi! Sorry, but the names dates don't tie in with what I got so far. The family name was orinally Blucher (Prussian) it was changed to Blocher, Blocker,Plocher, Plocher and Ploucher. The Blochers show up in Phila. Manheim Pa. about 1810. I'm sure some of them headed west. If I find a connection I'll be glad to let you know.

IN census and his marriage license in Scott Co. IN his name is spelled Blocher. In the 1860 Washington Co. IN census his name is spelled Bloucher. I am having allot of trouble finding out who his parents are and where they came from. Thanks! Marcia
