I am looking up my family tree. I know that my great grandfather married a native american woman and lived with her on lake champlian. I don't recall her name but his name was Sylvester Ploof. He had my Grandfather Loyal W. Ploof who was born in 1906 and died in '78. My father was also Loyal w. Ploof. Most family that I do know stayed around the Burlington Vermont area.I am looking for family on both sides. I want to find the heritage from my great grandmothers native american side and learn more about the Ploof side. Also there was a lot of reference to a friendship between Ploof and Holloway of Holloway Block in downtown burlington off Battery Street. Would like to research that.
