My Plotts family is descended from Johann Paulus Platz who was born in Germany and died in 1765 in Sussex County, New Jersey. His descendants located to Sullivan and Lycoming Counties in Pennsylvania. My branch is descended from George Plotts(1807-1887) and his two wives, Catharine Bull(abt.1807-1846) and Mercy Huffman(1823-1912).
