I'm not sure what info I was looking for at the time. The mother of Mary Bell Brown Plum, Sarah Edith McDaniel, was sister to my grandfather, Andrew Jackson McDaniel. I correspond with another BROWN that you may know, Jim Brown, son of Julius Dale & Mary Jane. Maybe at the time I was searching for living family relatives as I do collateral lines. I don't do much genealogy anymore since my husband died, I can't travel & my health is not good. Most of what I do is on the internet.

Elizabeth Green was married to John Plume in(1662)in CT
,this was the Mr.Plume who fathered Benoni Plum with Sarah Cornwell,Sarah was the daughter of William Cornwell and Mary "Little Dove"Hyanno Cornwell.Sarah did marry Daniel Hubbard and had other children. William Cornwell and his wife Mary purchased lands on the Connecticut River that became Middletown CT. Their names appear on the plaque at the Godfrey Library in Middletown as the first settlers of Middletown.

Benoni had 2 sons,Samuel(1710) and Daniel(1711/12)
I have located the gravesite of Benoni Plum(it is not Plumb) as reported by some)I am a direct desendent of Benoni.
thanks for the link you posted

It seems that John Plum b. abt. 1805 was the son of Henry Plum & Catherine/Catharine Hampton. The John Hampton listed n the 1850 census record must have been Catherine’s older brother. Daughter Susan may have been “Sarah” that married a Benajah Mollison.
Plum’s in New Brunswick, Middlesex Co., NJ

My 3rd great grandfather John Plum (b. 1805) was found living in New Brunswick, Middlesex Co., NJ in the 1850 census with his mother Catherine Plum (b. 1783), possibly his father John Hampton Plum (b.1773), his wife Sarah Bedell Plum (b. 1803) and his children Virginia (b.1829), John Jr. (b. 1829), Susan (b. 1833), Bonijah (this was how it was transcribed but I’m leaning towards Benjamin, (b. 1840) and William H. (b. 1847).
All Children are believed to have been born in New Brunswick, Middlesex Co., NJ.
I found John & his mother Catherine still living in 1860 but after this I have not been able to locate them. Both John Hampton & Sarah must have passed away sometime between 1850 & 1860 as neither of them is listed in the 1860 census. John Jr. (b.1829) married Mary Durham and resettled in Newark, Essex Co., NJ. William H. traveled west to California and married Edwinna C. Dryden.
If anyone has any connections to this family or any information such as dates, parents, siblings, spouses, children or whatnot I’d really appreciate hearing from you.
Plums from Iowa to Montana

My great-aunt, Daisy Murla McMahan and her husband Archie Richard Plum were both born in Mahaska Co., Iowa in 1896 and 1893 respectively. They moved with children Clifford, Helen, Florence, Violet, Lucille, and Gladis to Bozeman, Gallatin, Montana. I would really like to follow up with these missing relatives and get in contact or find out anything I can on them, their children, and grandchildren.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Patsy,

I am trying to figure out the two sons of Ida and Walter. I have Frank and James.

The strange part is they are both married to a Thelma M. from West Va. Did Frank marry Thelma after James' death in 1927/1928? I am too confused.

I see in the 1930 census, there are several children who were born in West Va, were these the children of James and Thelma? How funny, Frank and family are living in Newport News and that's where I was born.

Delilah was my grandmother. I thought you might be interested to know that I found a new ancestor for the DAR through her. His name was Daniel Kiblinger. I was able to join the DAR through him and I received a special award from the Florida State Sociey of the DAR for my find. What a thrill! So, you could join through him if you don't already belong and wanted to. You would just have to have documentation from your birth back to the Louderbacks.
I'm looking for a Mrs. Plum who lived in Racine WI on Sept. 18, 1919.
She would be my Great-grandfathers sister. I have only found one reference to her being in the US. It was in a short newspaper artical in a Muskegon Co. MI paper. The artical stated that another brother, Nels Mikkelsen, went to Racine WI see his sister, Mrs Plum who suffered a stroke. The only sister we have not found is Katrine. Here is what info I have.
Mother: Ane Marie Jensen 1812
Father: Micheal Mikkelsen 1813
Brother Johan Konrad 1843
Karl 1847 My great-grandfather spelled name Mikkelson
Niels 1851
Jens 1856
Sister: Katrine 1850
Jensine Karoline 1854 We know she stayed in Denmark
Karl and Niels setteled in the Whitehall Montague area of MI. All Children were born in Denmark.
Thank-you Roz
Horace Plum

I believe your Horace Plum was in Pasadena, Harris, Texas and purchased property there on October 17, 1903. He is mentioned in David Pomeroy's book PASADENA THE EARLY YEARS, PAGE 84. He was named as the widowed father of Mrs. Minnie McBurney. My interest is that he and two other gentlemen bought land in Pasadena in 1904 for a future Methodist church. If you have any other information concerning this gentlemen our historical group in Pasadena would appreciate hearing from you. His first name was George according to this article, but he apparently was called Horace.

This is not my John Plum, so I passed the information over and don't remember where I found it. I just remembered because of the unusual name. I do remember she went on to marry someone else and lived in Connecticut at the time. The dates are about right. Hope this is of some help to you.

The easiest way to find what information I have is to go the the wombat05 database on RootsWeb. Elijah (my ancestor)and his brothers came to New York City with their parents around 1815. The parents moved to PA in about 1825, but Elijah and his brothers stayed in NYC until the late 1840s. I think Nathaniel moved to Jersey City first, but Elijah followed within a few years. By 1852 they and their "blindmaking" businesses were in Jersey. I don't know much about their church attendance, but one of Elijah's children is buried in a Methodist cemetery in NYC.
