This is so wierd. I have the strangest feeling that this is some wild coincedence. Cousin Danny was never married and died kind of young. Bert Podell is a cousin, I was told. HOwever...I heard rumors my grandfather got around. I don't even know his name. Well, nice to meet you, Linda Podell Goodman.

Best,

Linda Podell Goodman!

Hi there! I never met Bert Podell. I just knew he was a cousin of my father's. I had an aunt Ruth Cantor, my dad's sister, so again, Podell. I had a cousin Danny but he would have been too young. Doris, my Podell grandmother, I never met. What else. Other sisters, Gloria, Rose, Bea, brother Willie. I have cousins, Joey Podell, Bruce Davis, Ira Davis on the podell side. That's about all I can think of right now. Let me know if you come up with anything else. Nice to meet you, Linda! Where are you from. My dad was born in Brooklyn, I'm out in California now. - Linda

Hello Linda Podell Goodman. This is too crazy for words. I Googled myself Linda Podell Goodman and found out there was another one...you. Our name is SOOOOO unusual to find a duplicate. My father deceased and from Brooklyn used to talk about congressman Bert Podell, but I don't know if they were related. However, he did have a cousin named Danny, who I didn't know.Danny was married to a woman named Ruth who I knew as a child and teenager.

Here is what I have:
Father: Herman Podell, his brother and sisters:
William Podell
Gloria
Bea Davis, or Beatrice
Rose Solat
Ruth Cantor
did i leave anyone out?

My brother, Jack Podell
Known Cousins:
Ira Davis
Bruce Davis
Robert/Valera Solat
Joseph Podell
Daniel Podell (deceased)
I'd love to make contact with anyone in my family that i have lost contact with or find any new relatives. thanks!
The general store my grandpa (Mike Podell) owned burned down shortly after he rented it to someone else about 1969. Grandpa had moved the post office to the other side of his house in Denham, he was still postmaster. He retired from the general store business, rented it out, and the store burned down in a suspected arson fire.

I knew your grandparents, Art & Alice, my grandfather was Mike Podell who had the store in Denham and was the postmaster for many years. Literally, every Podell in Pulaski County, Indiana is related to us. My father lost track of where Billy went, so he was happy that I saw your posting. I believe I heard from you at one time. What info do you have and what are you looking for? If I don't know, I can try to find out for you.

Hi! I am not sure if I can help. My father was Irving Podell, originally Podolsky. He had 2 brothers, Jerry and robert. Robert is married to Linda. I know he is not your uncle but they had cousins somewhere in the country. My Robert was born Nov 9th 1936. He has one biological son,Reed and an adopted daughter, Cheryl from Lindas first relationship. they have lived in Brooklyn N.Y. they had a cousin who was in the government that went to prison for some kind of fraud. I do not know his name. You might want to check the Podolsky site since many Podolskys changed their name when they came here. Good Luck. Vickey
