Hello:

My wife's maiden name was Podleski. Her father was Leo Podleski he had a brother John and a sister Catherine. They were from Brooklyn, NY. John may have been born in Poland, West Prussia then. Birthdates are Leo, 1898, John 1896? Catherine abt. 1903. They lived in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, Leo served in WWl in the Navy. There parents were Possibly John Posleski and Josephine Rafinski. On the web site there is a message from Don D about Rafinski Family I have to check that out. We have a photo which we think is John and Josephine. Taken in in Thorn or Torun Poland. Podleski's moved from Brooklyn to Pennington, NJ and then to Finderne section of Bridgewater, NJ. The father John we think died in Brooklyn in the early 1900's. Leo my fatherinlaw was married to a woman named Phyllis, don't know last name they had 2 girls Winifred and Claire. They divorced, Leo later married Mildred Santoro and had my Wife Linda and her sister Josephine. John we think moved to Cranford, NJ. We don't know much about him. Catherine married a Granski and had several children. Dorothy and a boy they called Dukey. They also lived in bridgewater. Any Podleski info you have would be greatly appreciated. We think Rafinski's came from Lipno or Rypin Poland which are also near Torun. Email me at r.kalinak@worldnet.att.net.
